Micqaela Jones - Contemporary Native American artist

Micqaela Jones is a member of the Temoak Tribe of Western Shoshone.  She grew up on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation of the Shoshone and Paiute Nations northeast of Elko, Nevada. Her youth was filled with rich visual experiences, days spent hunting, fishing       and enjoying the beauty of Nevada's outdoors with siblings.

Micqaela has developed a distinct and exciting style of painting that has attracted collectors throughout the United States and abroad. She continues to work on new ideas, new paintings and new techniques. Her work has evolved into an intertwining of her Shoshone culture along with contemporary expressions, resulting in colorful, vivid, and inspired paintings.

Micqaela's work has been included in several prestigious shows throughout the west, including the Santa Fe Indian Market,  Eiteljorg Museum Indian art Market,  Autry Museum Los Angeles, Cherokee Art Market, as well as several Museum Exhibits and solo exhibits.

Being raised on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation of the Shoshone and Paiute Nations, along with my family heritage, and abundance of rich cultural influences, serves as inspiration for my vibrant paintings!  Enjoy....
